Mercy Wakweika

Mercy Wakweika is a Founding Partner and Managing Director of WM Ventures (WMV) specializing in strategic financial planning, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, technology enabled growth and executive team and board support.

With a background in M&A and investments, Mercy has successfully partnered with companies at different stages to develop growth strategies, structure capital raises, execute acquisitions and exits, and offer directorial and advisory services on boards. Leveraging a combination of M&A, strategy, and operations expertise, she serves as a trusted advisor, aiming to enhance shareholder value for clients.

Mercy's career includes significant roles in finance, M&A, investments, and strategy. She served as Vice President of Corporate Development (M&A) and Finance at various technology companies. Prior to that, she was a Global Director in the Corporate Development and Principal Investments team at Bank of America (BofA), leading strategic initiatives, acquisitions, investments, and divestitures while also providing support to BofA's portfolio companies and serving on various boards.

Before joining BofA, Mercy worked as an investment professional at Chasella Private Equity, a strategy consultant at Monitor Deloitte (part of Deloitte Consulting), and in the investment banking division at Deutsche Bank. She holds an M.B.A. from M.I.T. Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Morgan State University.
